Configuration file

At startup, olsrd tries to read various configuration parameters from a configuration file. Parameters given at the command line overrides the settings from the configuration file. The location of this file is by default set to /etc/olsrd.conf but a different file can be used using the -f command line switch.

The configuration file is a set of directives mapping keywords to values. Values such as interfaces to use, IP version to use, plugins to load, various emission intervals and so on, can be set in this file. An example of a configuration file can found in appendix A while appendix B contains the Linux manual page for olsrd. In the manual page all command line options are documented.
